Welcome

Greetings Philosophers of Travel. Welcome to our own private corner of the blogsphere. This is the place where you will submit your two (or more) weekly philosophical reflections regarding your class excursions, your life abroad, and your travel readings for the European Crossroads course.

Now then, a few pointers are in order. Despite blogging these reflections, try not to adopt the rather relaxed written conventions and subject matter choices that are commonplace elsewhere in such technological communication venues. As for the former, use complete sentences and avoid for example BTW or U or OMG as abbreviations. As for the latter, keep to thoughtful relevant material and avoid for example comments such as, "I like totally adored your purple flip-flops on the cathedral visit." Bear in mind that these are neither text messages nor tweets.

Try to write in the spirit of sharing something of philosophical interest. Offer helpful hints, enriching insights, deep questions, and so on. Try to teach yourself and your fellows by trying to articulate experiences of importance recollected in tranquility. "How do I know what I think until I see what I say?" E. M. Forster said that.

All the best,
Gregory
